1984 FORD SIERRA 3-Dr 5 Litre V8
RS COSWORTH BODYKIT

Registration Number: A140 DJB
Chassis Number: WF0EXXGBBEDP00272

Ford had confirmed during 1981, that its new mid-range car would carry the Sierra name, signalling the end of the Cortina. At first, many found the design blob-like and difficult to accept after being used to the sharp-edged, straight-line styling of the Cortina, and it was nicknamed "the jellymould". Sales were slow at first - the situation being exacerbated by heavy discounting by Ford dealers of surplus Cortina stock. It was later in the Sierra's life that the styling began to pay off; ten years after its introduction, the Sierra's styling was not nearly as outdated as its contemporaries, even though all major competitors were newer designs. he Renault 21 and Peugeot 405, while Japanese carmaker Nissan was producing its Bluebird model in Britain from 1986.
This Ford Sierra 3 Door is based on a 3 door Sierra and is registered as such. The Car has an original Ford RS body kit fitted. Has a 5 litre mustang engine (registered as such). T 5 gearbox, RS diff, Koni shocks, poly bushes throughout. Stainless exhaust, Willwood brakes and RS interior. Described by the vendor to be in clean, rust free condition and is good all round. The car is set up for fast road use. The vendor believes the mileage of 8000 is from when it had the conversion carried out. The car was checked and fettled when purchased  last year. Unfortunately that is all the history the vendor has. The car looks like and has similar performance to an RS500. It sounds great as well with only 2000 miles covered since the year 2000 as shown on MOT check.
