2010 FORD FOCUS RS500 - SILVERSTONE AUCTIONS Saturday 28th May 2022

       Welcome back to Classic Chatter

OUR FEATURED AUCTION

SILVERSTONE AUCTIONS
Saturday 28th May 2022
The Runway, Sywell Aerodrome
Sywell, Northampton, NN6 0BT

2010 FORD FOCUS RS500
[02/500]
Registration No: R5 SOO
Chassis No: WF0GXXGCDGAJ66872
Engine No: AJ66872

Number 002 of 500 is a superbly presented example of one of the fastest, most capable, front-wheel-drive cars ever produced.

GUIDE PRICE: £65,000-£75,000

The Ford Focus RS500 made its global debut at the Leipzig Motor Show on April 9th, 2010 and marked the final swansong for production of the remarkable, second generation, Focus RS. The new and more powerful, limited-edition Focus RS500 model was launched as the ultimate performance Ford to provide the definitive driving experience for serious performance car enthusiasts. The new model was given the RS500 designation to highlight its strictly limited production run of 500 individually-numbered vehicles and featured a muscular 345bhp, 2.5-litre, 5-cylinder engine, which generated 15% more power than the standard Focus RS and delivered truly exhilarating performance.

In the raw, the RS looked a bit of a 'beastie' with its gaping grille, 19-inch wheels, flared arches, deep diffuser, and a wing that would embarrass a Porsche Turbo, and left you in no doubt about its intentions, however, the limited-edition RS500 is even more dramatic, sporting a unique matt black 'foil' paint finish with matching alloy wheels and delivering a powerful visual impact unmatched by any other production Ford. The last of these remarkable vehicles left Ford's Assembly Plant in Germany in September 2010.

Offered here is Number ‘002’ of the 500 built and was first registered in the UK on the 20th July 2010. It's a UK-supplied, right-hand drive car that had covered just 17,230 miles at the time of cataloguing. Our vendor is the car's second owner, having purchased it in July 2014, and we understand from him that the RS from brand new went straight to Mountune where some performance parts were fitted including their Sports Exhaust, brake calliper/disc kits and inlet plenum etc. These parts are still fitted to the Focus but the car's first owner wisely kept all the original parts and they have remained with the car and could be refitted if required as they are included in the sale.

There is comprehensive service history with the car which is documented in the accompanying history file. The last visit to the Ford main dealer was in October 2021 and the RS500 has a current MOT valid until the 14th of October 2022. Pleasingly, the vendor has generously included the very appropriate registration ‘R5 SOO’ in the sale of the vehicle.

Supplied with a UK V5c, two sets of keys, the appropriate private registration plate, original parts along with the aforementioned history file containing details of its comprehensive service history, this car presents a special opportunity to own a rare RS model that joins a long line of iconic RS Fords.

2002 FORD CROWN VICTORIA
Police Interceptor
Registration No:LJ51 RSR
Chassis No: 2FAFP71W42X125787
Engine No: 2G112AB12572946

In Tom Hardy's new film 'Havoc'
UK registered

For the 1998 model year, the Ford Motor Company restyled the Crown Victoria, eliminating the ‘aero’ look that the first-generation Crown Victoria had from 1992 to 1997, adopting the more conservative styling of the Mercury Grand Marquis. Both cars included restyled front and rear-end components. The 1998 police package P71 had a chrome grille, chrome door handle trim, chrome bumper strips, and a chrome-trimmed flat-black rear fascia with the ‘Crown Victoria’ badge. At this time, the car was still known as the ‘Crown Victoria P71’. In 1999, Ford introduced the ‘Crown Victoria Police Interceptor’ name, with a badge on the trunk lid replacing the 1998 ‘Crown Victoria’ badge. A chrome-trimmed gloss-black rear fascia, black door-handle trim, black bumper strips, and a gloss-black slatted grille were also introduced at this time. Finally, the new ‘Street Appearance Package’, intended to make the CVPI look like a standard (P73) model, including chrome trimming and badging, was introduced.

This 2002 Ford Crown Victoria was purchased in 2019 from the USA and imported to the UK, being registered in January 2020. The Ford was purchased by a specialist company that supply vehicles to film and television production companies. The car has been repainted and given the decals and lights to give the appearance of a State Police Interceptor and was used in the new action, thriller Netflix film ‘Havoc’ starring Tom Hardy who played Alfie Solomons in ‘Pecky Blinders’. ‘Havoc’ is due to be released later this year. This Ford Crown Victoria is supplied with a UK V5 registration document and is an opportunity to purchase what might become a piece of film memorabilia in the future.

2020 FORD MUSTANG 55 EDITION CS800 - HISTORICS AUCTIONS Saturday 25th September 2021 Ascot Racecourse, High Street, Ascot Berkshire SL5 7JX

OUR FEATURED AUCTION
HISTORICS AUCTIONS
Saturday 25th September 2021
Ascot Racecourse, High Street, Ascot
Berkshire SL5 7JX

2020 FORD MUSTANG 55 EDITION CS800
Registration No: FL70 FOC
Chassis No: 1FA6P8NF0L5116894
Engine No: 5116894
Guide Price: £75,000-£95,000

Delivery and development miles only
Huge specification with £39,000 of upgrades
850bhp, 0-60 in under three seconds
Full Ford and Clive Sutton warranties

The sixth-generation Mustang was unveiled on 5th December 2013, in Michigan, New York, Los Angeles, Barcelona, Shanghai and Sydney with the internal project code name S-550. With three engine options, a newly developed 2.3 litre EcoBoost 310bhp four-cylinder, a 3.7 litre 300bhp V6 or 5.0 litre Coyote 435hp V8, with either a Getrag six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.

A new independent rear suspension (IRS) system was developed specifically for the new model. It also became the first version factory designed as a right hand drive export model to be sold overseas through Ford new car dealerships in right hand drive markets. The 2018 Mustang engine line up was revised with the 5.0 litre V8 receiving a power increase to 460hp and 420 lb ft of torque. The automatic transmission in both engines is now a ten speed Ford 10R80. The 2020 model year saw the re-introduction of the GT500. The 2020 GT500 included a hand-built 5.2 litre ‘Predator’ aluminium-alloy V8 engine with a 2.65 litre roots-type supercharger. The Shelby GT500 produces 760hp and 625 lb ft of torque but the GT350 was discontinued at the end of the 2020 model year.

With little more than delivery mileage, this ‘as new’ 55 edition example is presented in Velocity Blue and was first registered to our vendor on 13th October 2020; this however, was just the start of the ownership story and certainly not the end. Whilst purchasing the car from the dealership our vendor asked about further upgrades that might be available, bearing in mind the car was already specified with front and rear witness cameras, a 55 Edition rear spoiler, MagneRide adaptive suspension and full Ebony leather. The dealership pointed him in the direction of arguably the country’s leading specialist, Clive Sutton, in London who was duly commissioned and set upon the conversion from 55 edition specification to full CS800 specification, details of which can be found below. A car that cost £49,000 from the Ford dealership was suddenly treated to nearly £40,000 of Ford recognised upgrades. With the Ford warranty still valid it has been transformed from a sports car to a car that could challenge a super or even a hyper car. Boasting a guaranteed 830bhp but achieving 850bhp on a dyno test, it is believed even that could be surpassed after running in the engine together with a claimed under three seconds 0-62 and a top speed of over 200 mph. Clive Sutton’s performance packages are considered the very best and the CS800 is the top package available. Offered with a warranty from both Ford (for the standard car items) and from Clive Sutton for the CS800 Package this is as good as buying a brand new bespoke CS800 without the wait.

Having waited a good eight months during lockdown, our vendor was full of excitement for the car, visiting the factory and showroom at numerous stages. Clive Suttons also used this very car for a PR photoshoot and video. Further PR surrounding the CS800 can be found here;
