1986 VAUXHALL CAVALIER CABRIOLET
BUY NOW £2834
Well this certainly transported me back to the 80's! I never owned a convertible Cavalier but like many had numerous 'GLi's and 'SRi's...what fantastic cars they were. I can honestly say I cannot remember ever having a major fault with any of them...unlike today's equivalents!
The example we have here is listed as having just Three former keepers, All of reasonable length ownership. One from 1991 ~ 2014. 23 Years!
The overall condition together (Note the Tyres) together with the VOSA mileage history, previously issued MOT test certificates and service invoices do all tend to suggest the current milometer reading of 37,000 miles could be correct.
With such low owners and the same owner for 23 years ... it wouldn't take a great deal of homework to confirm.

    1973 BMW 2002 TOURING - HISTORICS @ BROOKLANDS

    1973 BMW 2002 TOURING

BMW's director of product planning, Helmut Werner Bönsch and Alex von Falkenhausen, the designer of the BMW M10 engine, had both been owners of a 1600-2 (1602) and subsequently had both installed a two-litre engine in their respective cars. Following the realisation that they had both made the same modification, they prepared a joint proposal to BMW's board to manufacture a two litre version of the 1602. At the same time, American importer Max Hoffman was asking BMW for a sporting version of the 02 series that could be sold in the United States.  The 1990cc engine was made available in 1968 in two states of tune: the base single-carburettor 2002, producing 100bhp as in the 2000 and 2000C and the dual-carburettor high compression 2002Ti, producing 120bhp as in the 2000Ti and 2000CS.

Very rarely does such an original example of a motorcar provide such a unique opportunity; this 2002 Touring, presented in maroon with tan interior, has had a genuine one owner from new and has covered a mere 69,000 miles since 1973. Purchased new through NAAFI British forces in Germany, this coupé was collected from the Munich factory in the spring of 1973 and used during the vendor's military service until returning to England in 1975; hence the 'N' registration number. Other than the two front wings and valance replaced by Jaymic of Norfolk in 1997, every panel and all paintwork are as original as the rest of the car which has been untouched apart from the seatbelts which had to be changed to meet MoT requirements. The car has been garaged throughout its life and the vendor states she has had no accidents or damages; indeed 14 other cars have come and gone in the family since the 2002 was first purchased. Within the history file are all bills, receipts and MoT test certificates from purchase to the present day with the current MoT valid until May 2017. These BMW's are very practical classics and it is rare to have the opportunity to purchase such a car which although in need of some cosmetic work, will represent a fantastic example when this has been completed.

1955 FORD THAMES VAN - HISTORICS @ BROOKLANDS

BROOKLANDS MUSEUM, BROOKLANDS ROAD, WEYBRIDGE, SURREY, KT13 0QN

    1955 FORD THAMES

Commercial vehicles, especially vans, are becoming more and more collectible and useable not only simply for the enthusiast but also for very sound commercial reasons.
The Ford E83W 10cwt (half ton) van was built between 1938 & 1957 and was aimed at light haulage companies, tradesman and market traders who required a medium size utility vehicle. They were a common sight on roads for many years although, like all commercial vehicles, survival rates are now extremely low.
This charming 1955 Ford Thames van is an E83W model and had one owner from 1977 through to February 2016. Finished in green with contrasting black wings with signwriting to the doors in the name of H.R Hodge Television Engineers of South Petherton, it exudes character throughout. Fully rebuilt a number of years ago, it is supplied with a history file and a large set of restoration photographs. The van benefits from having a full sunroof that extends well over the rear of the cargo area and side windows to the rear which allow more light and make it more user friendly but can also be covered to give a more authentic look. With most vans leading a tough commercial life, it is rare to find an example in such good condition.

    SATURDAY 20th AUGUST 2016
BROOKLANDS MUSEUM, BROOKLANDS ROAD, WEYBRIDGE, SURREY, KT13 0QN

    2009 BROOKE 260 RR COSWORTH

Brooke Cars Ltd is a British car manufacturer of specialist sports cars, based near Honiton in Devon. It was established in 2002, following the purchase of the vehicle rights from Brooke Kensington in 1990. The company produces one model, the Double R, a lightweight two-seater open sports car weighing around 510 kg (1,120 lb) and is powered by a 2.3-litre Cosworth engine producing 260 bhp. Financing issues have meant these exciting cars have been produced in very small numbers. Designed to be a modern version of the 1950/60's single seater racers such as the Maserati 250F but with the added advantage of two seats, critical to the look are the concealed headlights and oval front radiator intake.
Manufactured in 2008 and registered in the UK on 1st January 2009, this Brooke 260 RR is the ninth car to be produced by the resurrected Brooke Cars Ltd. The 2261cc Duratec engine with Cosworth throttle bodies is mated to a five-speed gearbox. This mid-engined fully road legal Brooke, sits on lightweight OZ alloy wheels and Toyo tyres; four-point safety harness belts are fitted and there is an easy to read digital stack display system. This particular example was fitted with over £7,000 of extras including a Quaffe limited slip differential, adjustable dampers, roll bars, carbon fibre engine cover, motorsport radiator and a tonneau cover. The fastidious vendor ha
s looked after this Brooke impeccably and as such, it presents in excellent condition. Supplied with a V5C registration document, an MoT test certificate valid until 21st June 2017 and a collection of invoices; this is a stunning looking car whether being used on the road or track.
