Since then it has benefitted from a replacement steel chassis and floor pan, new carburettor and electrics. Recently subject to a re‑tune. Five registered owners, the last two are the same family. it comes with MoTs dating from 1997 to 2004 and a few receipts. Mileage recorded at 84,956.

The first of our French Deux-Chevaux offerings in today’s sale, this smart Dolly edition was supplied new in November 1986 and shows six former keepers on the logbook. It comes finished in the correct blue & cream livery with a roll-back canvas roof and original interior.

This Dolly comes to us with little in terms of documentation bar its V5C, but it looks to us from a cursory look underneath that the car has been treated to a new chassis at some point, although it is unclear when – if not, it certainly looks very sound.

Looking at the car’s MOT history online shows that is has been off the road since its last MOT expired in February 2015. The current mileage indicated is just 47,412 which suggests little use since its first recorded MOT online in 2013 at 46,228. It is hoped that this smart example will come with a fresh MOT in time for the sale, the vendor seeing little reason why it shouldn’t pass given its condition.

Bidders are advised that D837 YUT shows as having sustained some damage in the past, although this was unclassified and is recorded simply as “vehicle damaged” in April ’92. We understand from the vendor the car runs and drives as it should and looks mighty tempting at the reasonable guide price in the catalogue.

Offered for sale is a 0.602L 1987 Citroen 2CV manual that has been with the current owner for the last 2 years. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores an impressive 106 / 135.
