1974 MERCEDES BENZ W115 230 LHD
Estimate: £5000 - £7000

MOT and Tax-exempt Purchased in Paris Mercedes-Benz Paris Porte D’Orleans1974 then spent its life in the south of France only having 2 owners. A classic Mercedes enthusiast saw that it was incredibly solid and imported it being driven from France to the UK with no issues. This journey was featured in the Mercedes Enthusiast October 2016 issue – Magazine copy included in the paperwork. It was then given a mechanical overall at Edward Hall Classic Mercedes having extensive work including a Major service, new drive shafts, new prop shaft mountings & couplings, new rear subframe mountings, cleaned sump, clutch master cylinder replaced. This example is believed to have 130,000 miles on the odometer.
A lot of examples are now looking tired, have had welding or asking very high asking prices. The car is stored in a dry garage and only driven in dry conditions.
The current owner has given the car a complete cosmetic overhaul, and as a result, it is now a very fresh example that gets lots of attention. The interior is superb, with leather seating, new black carpets & parcel shelf, brand new rear seatbelts, an uncracked dash and headliner also in great condition. Everything works on the interior, original Blaupunkt radio with analogue pre-sets, dash lights, heater, lights, wipers, indicators and windscreen water jets all work thanks to electrical specialist ‘Unique Integrations’ who gave the car a complete run through.
The current owner has chosen to have the rear lights backdated to the W114 smooth/chrome version. W115 original ribbed rear lights will be included also. Comes with original paperwork including manual/service book. UK V5, last MOT in 2018 it sailed through and is now MOT and Tax exempt, costs £80 insurance a year. The car has had a mention in Classic and Sports Car coverage of Bicester Heritage Sunday Scramble being referred to by their Editor in Chief in their feature as “a simply perfect Stroke-8 Mercedes-Benz saloon.” The car starts fantastically quick and runs superbly, a perfect classic that gets great attention. This W115 is ready to go in time for summer.
