FEATURED AUCTION

DORSET VINTAGE AND CLASSIC AUCTIONS
Thursday 29th November 2018
Athelhampton House, nr Dorchester, Dorset
DT2 7LG

1989 CITROEN CX25 DTR TURBO SAFARI
Registration Number: F407 NNK
Chassis Number: VF7MANV000INV1872
Engine Number: C41587M25669
Transmission: Manual
Steering: Right Hand Drive
Colour: Meteor Grey
MOT Test Expiry: November 2019
Mileage: 114,000
Guide Price: £5000 - 7000

The sought-after Citroen CX 25 Safari is an extremely difficult model to find in good condition and we consider this example to be possibly the best on the market. The bodywork and paint are very original (apart from the tailgate, which was restored in 2015) and in generally good condition, as is the interior, although the instrument cluster does have some fading and we understand that the central locking is not working at present. The mechanical aspect of the motor car has been maintained to a high standard and the alloy road wheels have been refurbished and are fitted with four new Uniroyal tyres, fitted in 2015 but barely used since.
A new Citroen engine was installed in September 1994 at 78855 miles at a cost of almost £2000. The rear suspension spheres were replaced in 2016 and the front spheres in 2018. A new battery was fitted in 2016.
A large history file is supplied, which contains amongst others the V5C registration certificate, handbooks, invoices and a huge quantity of MOT test certificates.
