Ginetta Cars is a British specialist builder of racing and sports cars based in Garforth, Leeds, West Yorkshire. Ginetta decided to re-enter the complete car business with the mid-engined G32 with a choice of 1.6- or 1.9-litre four-cylinder engine, available as a coupĂ© or convertible and the G33 convertible with 3.9-litre Rover V8 capable of 145 mph and a 0-60 mph time of 5 seconds. In 1990 the G32 coupĂ© cost £13,700, the convertible £14,600, and the G33 £17,800.

The vendor has owned the car 3 times in its life, he was the first owner, it has 6 owners in total and he has owned the car for the last 18 months. We believe that this car is only one of 70 still in existence. The vendor has restored the car to its original specification and looked to upgrade original parts to more reliable parts (see below), it is a real show stopper at classic car rallies.


Recent documented ground up restoration included upgrading and replacing the following:

Interior: Royal Red Leather interior, just been retrimmed to a high standard, and probably better than when it was new. Brand new tonneau, Original steering wheel


Outside: Refurbished chassis, Bodywork repainted and like new, new Yokohama tyres all round, new wheels

Suspension: New uprights, New shock absorbers all round (AVO), New springs, New lower wishbones, New ball joints all round, New wheel bearings all round
Brakes: All brake lines replaced, All brake callipers Cosworth, New brake pads all round (Mintex), New brake discs all round
Engine: Brand new oil and filter, New Plugs NGK’s, New battery, stainless steel exhaust to original spec, New aluminium radiator, Fully adjustable pedal box (racing spec), New Alternator


Paperwork: 2 x A4 ring binders of restoration work, old MOT, old Registration Documents and invoices for work done. Restoration has cost in excess or £25,000
Jobs that require doing: Gear leaver knob needs replacing, Speedo cable needs replacing, Door hinges need adjustment, Nearside door interior handle has become disconnected
