  • Looks tremendous value at this guide

The last convertible produced by Maserati prior to the GranCabrio was the Spyder which was based on the 2001 CoupĂ© and had just two seats. However, when it comes to four-seat cabriolets we have to go back to the 1930s when two coachbuilding firms, the Italian firm Castagna and Briitish company RAG Patents both used Maserati’s 26M as the starting point for their classic coachbuilt dropheads. So officially, this is the first time that Maserati, a company that has a rich heritage in glorious open-top cars, has produced a four-seat convertible. In 2010, however, with the launch of the GranCabrio, it was again possible to enjoy the delights of open-top Maserati motoring with the Sun shining on four faces

Inspired by the dramatic GranTurismo, the Maserati GranCabrio is a lithe convertible carefully crafted by Pininfarina, the master coachbuilder, and the attention to detail is evident in the chrome accents and state of the art LED light clusters. From the side, the lower ground clearance and elongated bonnet give the car an agile look and it has an aerodynamic shape with a bold sweeping ‘V’ shape towards the front. Motive power comes from a 4.7-litre V8 producing 450bhp at 7,000rpm and offering 0-60 in 5 seconds, pretty impressive for a car of this size seating four adults.  The six-speed ZF automatic transmission and built-in hydraulic torque converter keep gear changes seamless and there are four mode settings for the transmission

This, one former keeper, GranCabrio was first registered in April 2010 and comes with a full Maserati main dealer service history having been most recently serviced in February this year at 20,800 miles. The car has now covered 25,400 miles and servicing is every two years so there is plenty of time to enjoy this Maserati before the next service is due.
Ordered in Grigio Alfieri, (a metallic grey named after Alfieri Maserati) with Avorio leather and a contrasting beige hood, the colour combination looks stunning. It comes with all the right options including electric heated memory seats, electric steering, Bose hi-fi system, satellite navigation, Bluetooth phone connectivity, and 20-inch alloy wheels.

A beautiful looking cabriolet with one of the best soundtracks of any car, and in common with many exotic cars of this nature has suffered a bit of depreciation and looks fabulous value today.
