FEATURED AUCTION

MATHEWSONS AUCTIONS
Pickering Road, Thornton Le-Dale, Pickering,
North Yorkshire, YO18 7LH
SATURDAY 21st September 2019

1967 HONDA S800 COUPE
Honda S800 MK1 Coupe 4 speed manual. It is 791cc Dohc that develops 70hp and has a roller bearing crankshaft that enable it to go up to 8500rpm before it hits the redline. It is fed by 4 Kie Hin carburettors. This car has been in a dry garage for the past 11 years and is in need of some restoration work. The engine has been running recently but has a low rev misfire. The hydraulics of the clutch and brakes will need to be overhauled as will the clutch assembly as it appears to be stuck on the spigot shaft. The braking system will need a full overhaul. Bodywork is reasonable but again will need some restoration as bubbling evident and the bonnet corroded on the underside around the hinge mountings. The body is mounted on a ladder-type chassis. Interior is good but headlining is coming off above the tailgate. Battery missing. Great restoration project!
We are open 7 days a week here at Thornton Le Dale for pre-sale viewing, although a quick phone call prior to travelling is advised.
Don't forget. We personally collect FREE of charge around 50% of all our auction vehicles.
So, if you have a vehicle which you would like us to re-home.... just make the call. 01751 474455
