Estimate: £6,000 - £8,000

1,200cc. This Austin A40 Sports has been owned by the same family from new, having first been purchased as birthday present for the vendor's grandmother. It was actually found by a close family friend, Brian Trubshaw, the chief test pilot for Concorde and retains its original colour. The vendor's father, the Revd P B Bibby, inherited the car in the early 1990s. The car has been used on numerous family occasions, driven two daughters to their respective weddings and has also been used for display purposes in the Boden catalogue. The original fixtures and fittings, including the original leather seats, have been retained. Last MoT'd in 2009, the car has been unused since. The history file includes the original buff log book, 2009 tax disc, MoTs from 2005 until 2009 and an Austin Counties Car Club disc dated 1956. The mileage is recorded at 98,036.
