1957 MORRIS ISIS
Chassis No: SAD1111402
Engine No: 11021
Estimate: £1900 - 2500

This car was a one owner car from new up until the start of 2018! Sadly, the original owner died, and the car was sold to a dealer and then on to the present owner. The current owner used to own an Austin Westminster, which shares the same 2.6-litre engine as well as many other parts with the Isis. The Isis is a much rarer car than the Westminster, with less than 50 cars remaining on UK roads. Parts are however very easy to source as its shares so many with other cars in the Austin and Morris range. The already mentioned 2.6-litre engine was used in family saloon cars as well as very sporty Austin-Healey 100/6. The car still has its original optional extra front spot and fog light, as well as the original optional extra under dash Radio.
This car runs and drives very well, it fires up with the first turn of the key & the gearbox is smooth, and although MOT and tax exempt, the car passed an MOT at the end of 2018, just to make sure that everything was in order. The car hasn’t been used over the winter months.
The car comes with an original very rare Morris Isis workshop manual, as well as a box of period spares and a new cross-ply spare tyre in the boot.
Pretty much always the most unusual car at any classic car show, it always draws plenty of positive attention.
