Offered for sale is a 1.724L 1967 Sunbeam Rapier Series V manual that has been with the current owner for the last year. Coming with an extensive history file, this lot's condition scores an impressive 100 / 135.

  •  Built by Rootes Group Sunbeam Talbot Ltd in 1965 but first registered on 31st March 1967 
  •  FIA registered with the RAC in 1966 it is believed it was a reserve car for the works rally team
  •  First owner Betty Leah (nee Haig) was the great niece of Field Marshall the Earl Haig
  •  She won a gold medal for the 2,000-mile road rally at the Berlin Olympics in 1936 
  •  FIVA and MSA papered and prepared for regularity rallying. Chris Draycott-built engine
  •  A rare opportunity to own a Rootes 'Works' car with exceptional provenance.
