THE MONACO SALE 'LES GRANDES MARQUES À MONACO'
FRIDAY 11TH MAY 2018
• Hand-built by a German enthusiast in 2018
• 9bhp petrol engine
• 2.8 meters long
• Unique artifact
The car offered here is a scaled-down replica of one of the greatest Grand Prix cars of all time: the Bugatti Type 35, which in its various forms would be arguably the most successful racing of all time, starting with winning the inaugural World Championship for Manufacturers in 1926 and securing countless victories for privateers.
Its racing history and the 35's wonderful design inspired a German enthusiast - passionate about cars from the 1920s and '30s - to build a scale-model of the Bugatti. Hand built in 2018, the result is a wonderful replica of this most famous racing car. Around 2.8 meters long, it is powered by a 9 horsepower petrol engine with electric starter, while other noteworthy features include adjustable pedals, wood-rim steering wheel, rack-and-pinion steering, disc brakes, working front lights, final drive chain, and a tool kit. The seat and interior are upholstered in buffalo leather, while the special Bugatti-style wheels are handmade. The baby Type 35 can reach speeds of up to 50km / h, with brisk acceleration.
Capable of being driven by adults and children, this unique miniature motor car has the potential to be an attention-getting artefact worthy of display in any collector's garage, living room, showroom, or company offices; Or it could be used simply for having fun.
