  • Naturally aspirated, 6.3-litre V12; 731bhp at 8250rpm
  • 0-62mph 3.1 secs, top speed of over 211mph
  • Just 12,715 miles with a single owner
  • Massive and discerning specification
  • Full Ferrari service history. Always kept in a dehumidified garage
  • Faster around Fiorano than an Enzo and the ultra-extreme 599 GTO
The Ferrari F12 Berlinetta was Ferrari’s replacement for the 599 GTB and the company threw everything at it to ensure it was considerably quicker than its seminal predecessor, but also that it was more enjoyable at low speeds.  It is able to be both GT and supercar, mixing front-engined packaging and civility with exotic, F1-inspired dynamic ability.
Let’s start with its seminal V12 engine, an EVO magazine review in 2014 stated “Ferrari should be honoured for building arguably the greatest road-car engine of all time.  The powertrain is surely the most remarkable, exciting and addictive of any car on sale today.  It isn’t just the power, staggering as that is, but the manner of its delivery.  The final 2,000 revs to the red line and the speed of the shift to the next gear are truly breath-taking.”
Similar in size to the Ferrari FF's engine but significantly re-engineered to produce more power, rev higher and ensure much quicker throttle response. It produces an almost unbelievable 730bhp at 8250rpm (it revs to 8700rpm) and 509lb-ft at 6000rpm.  All that power is smoothly transmitted to the 315-section rear tyres through a 7-speed dual clutch transaxle and Ferrari’s E-Diff.  The results are startling: 0-62mph in 3.1-seconds, 0-124mph in 8.5-seconds and a top speed of over 211mph. Those acceleration figures put it ahead of a McLaren F1.  Around Fiorano, it’s faster than an Enzo or even the ultra-extreme 599 GTO.

The F12 also got the latest evolution of Ferrari’s adaptive magnetorheological dampers (SCM-E), which react much more quickly, improved carbon-ceramic brakes and, as ever, the relentless evolution of the many traction and stability systems sees huge gains in control and speed.  Then there’s the famous ‘aero-bridge’ – ducts set into the front wings – which reduce drag and improve downforce, plus active brake cooling ducts that only open when the discs are getting really hot, to reduce drag.  The list of technical highlights is almost endless!  Ferrari retained an aluminium chassis for the F12 but new materials increase stiffness and reduce weight.  It really is quite a package!
The car presented here is a UK-supplied right-hand drive 2014 F12 Berlinetta in a very desirable specification.  This striking car, in the very fetching combination of Grigio Silverstone paintwork with Nero (black) leather and silver stitching, has covered just 12,715 miles with its one and only owner, who is our vendor today.  He is a real automotive enthusiast, choosing only the most special cars to form part of a small private collection, ensuring each is diligently looked after.  This is reflected by this car only being used on dry days, hence the low mileage, being housed in a dehumidified garage, and receiving annual paint protection and regular servicing with ‘Graypaul’ (Ferrari) of Birmingham (at 5,374 miles, 9,747 miles and 11,886 miles).  As you’d expect, the car comes with its complete book-pack, paperwork and a full set of keys and is, of course, still under Ferrari warranty.

Some specification highlights include a front suspension lift system, Adaptive Front-light System (AFS), fully-electric Daytona Seats (with embroidered Ferrari emblem), Scuderia Shields, 20" forged diamond wheels, yellow brake calipers, leather upholstery headlining, premium hi-fi system, parking camera and the carbon-fibre ‘driver zone’ (plus LEDs), including a carbon-fibre central tunnel and cup-holder, plus dashboard with carbon-fibre inserts.
This formidable V12 Ferrari is the complete package and represents tempting value.  Its appeal, design, technological advances and performance are all still hugely relevant today, and in such pristine condition, it really is very special.
