Much of the Mercedes-Benz reputation for build quality and reliability was built on the foundations of models like the V170: Practical and long-lived, these models would, with sensible maintenance, last for decades. MPH's four-door cabriolet example has received a full, chassis-up restoration. The bodywork has been painted red and white and the interior re-trimmed in off-white, piped in red, with fresh colour-complementing carpets while our vendor reports that the engine has been rebuilt. In all, an unusual and highly practical pre-war car.
