1965 AUSTIN MINI SIX WHEEL PICK UP

Chassis number: AAW7738817

This six wheel Mini was initially built during the 1970's by the last registered owner, an engineer, who undertook the project together with his brother who was a mechanic. Their competent design and build is clear to see, the car has full Cooper S running gear underneath, with a 1,310cc engine that starts and runs without fault and a very smooth four‑speed gearbox. Purchased by the vendor around four or five years ago from the two brothers, when it was discovered in their shed under a pile of parts. He was advised that it had been parked there since 1983. On his return home, the vendor checked over the Mini to find that nearly everything still worked, from the gauges and lights in the dash, the heater in the car down to all the exterior lights and wipers. Even the interior light works when the door is opened. The only work required by the vendor has been to clean the carburettor and terminals on the fuel pump and replace the fuel tank. The vendor advises that his
only reason for selling is due to the amount of projects that he has outstanding and would like to see it restored. The vehicle is registered as a pick-up on it's old V5. The new owner may need to apply for the vehicle to be re-introduced at DVLA as it is not currently recorded. Five owners from new, the last registered since 1978. It comes with the last V5 dated 1978, the original green log book, an MoT from 1981 recording 2,052 miles and two tax discs from 1981 and 1982. Current speedometer reading is 5,387.
