First arriving in 1983, the 205 was a huge hit and managed to improve the fortunes of a rather conservative Peugeot. Power ranged from 954 to 1905cc and the well-designed body offered an ample boot space with sporting details and very good handling, due to in part the suspension: MacPherson struts to the front and torsion bar suspension to the rear. Such was the success of the 205 that Peugeot barely changed the styling throughout its production that lasted until 1998.

This cabriolet version of the 205, with distinctive registration number A3 TKP, has been the subject of some recent expenditure: the engine has been equipped with a new cambelt, the braking system has been overhauled and a new battery and four new tyres have also been fitted. The condition of the body is described as good and the paintwork as reasonable. The half-leather interior is tidy and the hood is in usable condition. A change of circumstances has prompted the sale of this 205, but it should offer its new custodian many miles of inexpensive modern classic open-air motoring.
The original handbooks and wallet are included in the history file, together with a number of invoices, MOT test certificates and the V5C registration certificate.
