1959 FIAT 600 MULTIPLA

The Fiat 600 Multipla was, amazingly, only slightly longer than a mini Cooper but felt so much bigger. This had been achieved by moving the driver's compartment forward over the front axle, effectively eliminating the boot but giving the body a very modern people carrier-like look.

This is the 4/5 seater version offering two rows of seats; fixed front bench seat for driver and passenger, fold-down rear bench for two or three passengers and a cargo space between the rear seats and the firewall. Purchased from Gullwing Motorcars in New York in an unrestored state, taxes and duty have since been paid and it is Nova registered. The body and chassis appear to be in sound condition although it will need a thorough restoration. The engine is non-running but appears intact. Some re-commissioning will be required including some pipe work and electrical connections. Some spares are included to whit, a carburettor, bumper, lights etc. The paperwork includes an American certificate of title and a NOVA certificate. A rare car and an engaging project.
