1972 Morris Marina 1.8 Coupe

Estimated value : £1,800 – £2,500

Being first registered in 1972 this lovely and now very rare 1.8 Marina coupe is a true survivor from the days of trade unions and British Leyland. Complete with just about all the 70’s add on extras that were available back then. The overall condition of the exterior is good with just some minor bubbling under the paint at the base of the front windscreen on one corner and with the paintwork having received attention at some time in its life, is bright and shiny. Interior is totally original and in very good condition throughout and having never had a radio fitted, the dash is un-cut and un-cracked.

Under the bonnet is where the surprise is. Apart from the lack of corrosion, a very clean engine bay and the newly fitted electronic ignition, you will find an MGB engine which according to the vendor, produces apx. 82 BHP and makes this Marina so much more fun to drive. Starting instantly every time and pulling well through all the gears while giving the car a much better and less stressed cruising speed on motorways and dual carriageways.

Over all mechanics are also very good with £700 being spent recently on a new wiper motor, clutch slave cylinder, steering rack and track rod ends plus rear brake shoes, pipes and wheel cylinders all for its MOT in June this year so current MOT is until June 2017.

Coming with its hand books, old MOTs, bills and other various paper work this car really would make an unusual addition to any collection or an excellent first classic to take to the shows.
