When the Porsche 964 when introduced in 1989 it was 85% different to the out-going 911. The design incorporated more integral bumpers and a host of mechanical changes; most significant was the introduction of four wheel drive. The displacement was now up to 3600cc producing 250bhp. Power steering and ABS brakes were now fitted as standard. The torsion bar rear suspension was replaced with coil springs and shock absorbers. Such was the success that in the five years of production over 62,000 left the factory.
The car offered here today is a 1990 car with just five former keepers. Acquired by vendor in August 2008 at 43,800 miles this Baltic Blue C4 has now covered a genuine c45,500mls as corroborated by every MoT from 1993 at 8,424mls. This is a 3.6 litre, manual, Baltic Blue, C4 with low mileage and low ownership.

It is clearly a well-maintained and exceptionally preserved car. The interior feels almost new with crisp white pinstripes through the blue cloth. The car feels incredibly tight and taut when driving. Purposeful and direct. There's no flounce or hesitation with this C4 964. In fact, the only criticism this consignor could levy against this car is the clumsy placement of a St. Christopher mascot near to the ignition and a very slight scuff to the offside rear bumper.
There is a book pack, handbooks, spare and replacement key serial codes and leather wallet, but regrettably, no service book. There is however receipts and invoices to confirm the service history as follows:
November 1996, Evans Halshaw Porsche Centre, at 12,507miles, received 24,000mile major service.
April 1997, Evans Halshaw Porsche Centre, at 23,393miles, received 12,000mile major service.
May 1999, Evans Halshaw Porsche Centre, at 29,028miles, received 12,000mile major service.
May 2000, Motawerk Ltd, Leicester, at 31,414miles, received 6,000mile minor service.
May 2003, Motawerk Ltd, Leicester, received 6,000mile minor service.
May 2004, Motawerk Ltd, Leicester, received 6,000mile minor service.
May 2005, Motawerk Ltd, Leicester, at 40,630miles, received 12,000mile major service.
May 2006, Motawerk Ltd, Leicester, at 42,205miles, received 6,000mile minor service.
May 2007, Motawerk Ltd, Leicester, at 43,815miles, received annual service.
G606 FWC will be accompanied by a fresh MOT from mid-January 2015 and is sold with aforementioned history, invoices, book pack and UK V5C registration document. In short, this is a quality example of a long under-celebrated variant of the mighty 911, however, we anticipate the 964's time is now! Don't hesitate...
