1975 FORD GRANADA 3.0 XL

£8000 - £10000Registration Number: jhu 229n
Chassis number ending RK59432 - this example shows a build date of February 1975 and was imported from South Africa during 2017. The car is now fully UK registered and carrying a current MOT test certificate, the previous owner believed the speedometer correct at 69373 kms which would equate to approximately 43000 miles although there is no documentary evidence to substantiate this and therefore it is listed as not warranted. The vendor states that this is V6 example to be mainly original and unrestored and as can be seen from the photographs still retains its proper Chrome hubcaps. Launched during March 1972. Initially lower models in the range were called the Ford Consul, this is believed to have been due to a lawsuit by the Granada Group a major British conglomerate of the time, however their application for an injunction failed at appeal and they could not prevent Ford registering the name "Granada" as a trademark, thus from 1975 the entire range was named "Granada". The Granada was introduced to South Africa towards the end of 1972 in 3000 GXL automatic form, with two additional models a 3000 XL, as per this example, and a 2500 L following----------------------------------------------------------------------------

About Morris Leslie
Morris Leslie established the company over 40 years ago on a farm in Rait, Perthshire, where he began buying and selling construction equipment locally. He soon expanded to trading nationally and globally.
In 1988 RAF Errol Airfield was purchased. It was originally built as an airfield for use in World War II and since then had become disused. The airfield provided the ideal location to start auctioning plant. The auctions quickly grew in size and are now one of the biggest in Scotland, attracting buyers from all over Europe. The Airfield was developed into a mixed-use business park and today operates as the Morris Leslie Group’s headquarters.
In 2012 our Vehicle Auctions division held its first Classic Vehicle and Machinery Auction. The auction was so successful that we now hold them every quarter. Our classic auctions have over 200 entries of cars, tractors, lorries and motorbikes.
