1973 FIAT 132 1600 SPECIAL

The Fiat 132 is a sporting saloon car produced 1972 to 1981. An updated version of the 132, called the Argenta was produced from 1981 to 1985. The 132 was introduced as a replacement for the Fiat 125 and like it, came with twin overhead cam engines as standard. However, the Fiat 132 looked more like the larger top-of-the-range Fiat 130.

Like the 125, the 132 came with a five speed gear box, optional in some markets and standard in others, and this was still a relatively unusual feature in this class of car in the nineteen seventies. GM "Strasbourg" automatic transmission was listed as an option.
A Very Rare Series 1 Chrome Bumper Fiat 132 Special with full width wooden dash, finished in Fiat Lord Blue. The car is a 1600 Twin Cam, with a 5 speed manual gearbox, and disc brakes all round. The car has just been Serviced and had a new Cam Belt, the complete Exhaust System from the downpipe back has been replaced, as has the battery.
MOTd untill October 2018, the car drives very well, and is quiet and comfortable on the road. All the electrics including the original Autovox radio/cassette player work. The speedo is showing 16,000kms but I can not verify this. It is a 2 owner car from Italy, but on inspection of the underside the car has never been welded. Interior trim and carpets are in good condition apart from the stitching on the seats has come apart and has been repaired by the previous owner. The paint work is good with a small amount of work needing attention near the bootlid.
