1973 RELIANT SCIMITAR GTE E OVERDRIVE
There is a mountain of paperwork with this car, with MOTs back to 1980, manuals, Scimitar articles (one features this particular car in 2009), and numerous invoices for work done. The list of new and reconditioned parts is lengthy, with new clutch, stainless exhaust, stainless tank, new steering rack, radiator, starter, water pump, and more.
The chassis is in great shape, and it is an exhilarating drive with a fantastic soundtrack. It was owned by a father and son for 23 years, with a detailed handwritten log of it’s history, and window stickers show the many club events attended. Apparently Princess Anne had eight of these, and when new they were a lot more expensive than an MGC GT!
