1970 FORD CORTINA MkII
Chassis No - CE93JE73336

The second incarnation of the Cortina was designed by Roy Haynes, and launched on 18 October 1966, four years after the original Cortina. Although the launch was accompanied by the slogan "New Cortina is more Cortina", the car, at 168 in long, was fractionally shorter than before. Its 2 1⁄2 inches of extra width and curved side panels provided more interior space. Other improvements included a smaller turning circle, softer suspension, self-adjusting brakes and clutch together with the availability on the smaller-engined models, for the UK and some other markets, of a new five bearing 1,300 cc engine. In August, the 1,300 received a new crossflow cylinder head design, making it more efficient, while a crossflow 1,600 replaced the 1,500. The Cortina Lotus continued with its own unique engine, although for this generation it was built in-house by Ford themselves.

The Cortina was Britain's most popular new car in 1967, a goal that Ford had been trying to achieve since it set out to create the original Cortina back in 1962. For 1969, the Mark II range was given subtle revisions, with separate "FORD" block letters mounted on the bonnet and boot lids, a blacked out grille and chrome strips on top and below the taillights running the full width of the tail panel marking them out.
The vendor says that this very desirable Mk2 Cortina is in very good condition,. The body is straight, does not appear to have any rust, it runs well and the interior, including the lovely bench seat, is very original. The chrome is all very good, the original wheels are in very good condition, this is a starting point for a very good car.

1972 STUTZ BLACKHAWK

In August 1968, New York banker James O'Donnell raised funds and incorporated Stutz Motor Car of America. A prototype of Exner's Stutz Blackhawk was produced by Ghia, and the car debuted in 1970. All these cars used General Motors running gear, featuring perimeter-type chassis frames, automatic transmission, power steering and power brakes with discs at the front. They were lavishly furnished, with all possible luxury features such as electric windows, air conditioning, central locking, electric seats and leather upholstery. On the sedans, there was typically a console for beverages in the rear seat. Engines were large V8s, originally 6.6 or 7.5L (400 or 460 ci) but by 1984 the Victoria, Blackhawk and Bearcat were using a 160-horsepower 5.7L (350 ci) unit and the Royale a 6.9L (424 ci) Oldsmobile unit developing a modest 180 horsepower.

Stutz had some reasonable success selling
newly designed Blackhawks, Bearcats, Royale Limousines, IV Portes, and Victorias. Elvis Presley bought the first Blackhawk in 1971 and later purchased a further three. Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Evel Knievel, Barry White and Sammy Davis, Jr. all owned Stutz cars. The Stutz Blackhawk owned by Lucille Ball was for a time on display at the Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino Auto Collection in Las Vegas. However, owing to their extraordinary cost - Stutz was touted as the World's Most Expensive Car, a Royale limousine costing US$285,000 and a Blackhawk coupé over US$115,000 in 1984, production was very limited and it is believed only 617 cars were built during the company's first 25 years of existence (1971–95).

The example of this rare Stutz Blackhawk offered here is described by the vendor as driving very well and to be in very good condition all round. The car was imported by the vendor in 2012 and has only seen light use since then, covering only about 1000 miles in that time.  The car is shown on this link to the Stutz Registry www.madle.org/ebh72bl.htm showing the last owner in America as Brian Lamp.  This is an opportunity that should not be missed as these cars rarely come to the market.

1978 LANCIA HPE
Registration No 3228 XA 92

The Lancia Beta HPE was a three-door sporting estate or shooting-brake introduced in March 1975. HPE stood for High Performance Estate, and then later High Performance Executive. This model had Berlina's longer wheelbase floorpan combined with the coupé's front end and doors. The HPE was also styled in house at Lancia by Castagno's team, with Castagnero as styling consultant. At launch it came with either 1600 or 1800 twin-cam engines, these being replaced in November of the same year by new 1.6 and 2.0 units. In 1978, like other Beta models automatic transmission became available along with power steering. It was renamed the Lancia HPE (without the Beta) from 1979 and in autumn 1981 gained the option of a fuel injected 2.0 engine. In 1984 a 2.0VX supercharged version became available. Like all other cars in the Beta range the HPE was discontinued in 1984. Number built: 71,258.
Very rare Lancia High Performance Estate in excellent overall condition having been stored in a Parisian underground heated garage. Recently recommissioned and ready for use or light restoration.
Two owners, the last from 1992.
NOVA registered.

1968 SUBARU 360

The Subaru 360 is a rear-engined, two-door city car manufactured and marketed from 1958 to 1971 by Subaru. As the company's first automobile, production reached 392,000 over its 12-year model run.
Noted for its small overall size, 1,000 lb curb weight, monocoque construction, swing axle rear suspension, fiberglass roof panel, and rear-hinged doors, the inexpensive car was designed in response to the Japanese government's light car or Kei car regulations and its proposal for a larger "national car," both intended to help motorize the post WWII Japanese population. The 360's overall size and engine capacity complied with Japan's Kei car regulations.

Nicknamed the "ladybug" in Japan, and ultimately superseded by R-2, the 360 was one of Japan's most popular cars and was available in a single generation in two-door, station wagon, "convertible" (coupe with roll-back fabric roof) and sport model variants.10,000 were sold in the United States, imported by Malcolm Bricklin — advertised as "Cheap and Ugly.
The nameplate 360 derived from its tax-limited engine displacement: 356 cc.
The 360 featured an air-cooled, 2-stroke inline 2-cylinder 356 cc engine mounted transversely at the rear, and was introduced March 3, 1958
The RHD example offered here is described by the vendor as a good car all round and to drive really well with the 4-speed manual gearbox. The mileage of 35000 is believed to be correct. The car comes with a new MOT.
