This prestige Brooklands is in very good condition and difficult to fault. Finished in red pearl metallic, the Bentley has contrasting magnolia leather upholstery and piping in St James Red with matching carpets and sheepskin rugs. The St James Red dashboard roll top and magnolia knee roll compliment the interior and the Elm fascia and door cappings remain in excellent condition.

The current custodian purchased the Bentley in the summer of 2010 and has used it sparingly since for special occasions only. The mileage of 59350 is understood to be correct and it has been maintained to an exceptional standard. A stainless steel exhaust system is fitted and the coachwork and underside have been rustproofed. The tyres have been treated previously with Pirtex Fluid Puncture Prevention and a spare wheel and tyre are supplied.

Interestingly, the Bentley has an expensive LPG conversion installed, which reduces the running cost by some fifty percent. It is a relatively simple process to remove this should a purist so wish, but it certainly makes the motor car more economically viable and excellent value for money.

The large history file contains the service book, invoices, MOT test certificates and the V5C registration certificate, together with the LPG conversion certificate. Also included in the sale is a heavy duty car cover.

Named after the fastest straight at Le Mans, Bentley’s original generation of Mulsanne motor cars teamed luxurious comfort and excellent performance from a Rolls-Royce 6.75 litre V8. The Garrett AiResearch turbocharger increased the power by a further 50% in the Mulsanne Turbo which arrived in 1983.

We are assured that this 1984 Turbo example is in good running order and drives very well. The vendor states that it has no known mechanical faults but cosmetically, it could be in both the paintwork and interior departments. However, the motor car certainly has advantages: four new Avon have recently been fitted, the current MOT test certificate expires in September 2020 and the private registration number is included in the sale. The hub caps are currently stowed away in the boot but will require a replacement key to be refitted.

The Mulsanne is supplied with the V5C registration certificate, the original handbook and wallet, the aforementioned MOT test certificate and sundry paperwork. An inexpensive entry into Bentley motoring.
