1993 VOLVO 440XI
5-Door Hatchback
Registration No: K831 UAD

This Volvo 440 Xi 5 Door Hatchback is an affordable way to get into modern classics. This Volvo is described by the vendor as needing a little fettling and tidying up, but a running driving restoration. These are quite rare now and this example comes with only 84,000 miles recorded and an MOT until 6th March 2020. The car has been HPI checked clear. It is described as quite a clean little car, in blue-grey metallic, with the Xi rear spoiler and side stripe, all the rage on the early 90s cars, two-tone seats, power steering, heated front seats, but the stereo is missing.
The interior is in good condition but there is a small wear hole on the driver’s top part of the seat, but nothing much. The interior does need a clean but it is all there, carpets are good, headlining is good, the rear parcel shelf is in good condition and wind up windows which is a great thing. The exterior needs a good machine polish and there are some marks, a small area of rust on the bottom of the driver’s door, but no major dents. There are some rust bubbles at the bottom of the passenger door also, but overall it is a straight car. All the lights etc are in good condition and so is the glass. The car starts every time.

FEATURED AUCTION

2005 NISSAN FAIRLADY 350GT
Chassis No: HZ33300310
Estimate: £4250 - £6000

The Nissan 350Z, known as Nissan Fairlady Z in Japan, is a two-door, two-seater sports car that was manufactured by Nissan Motors from 2002 to 2009 and marks the fifth generation of Nissan's Z-car line. The 350Z entered production in late 2002 and was sold and marketed as a 2003 model. The first year there was only a coupe, as the roadster did not debut until the following year. Initially, the coupe came in Base, Enthusiast, Performance, Touring and Track versions, while the Roadster was limited to Enthusiast and Touring trim levels. The Track trim came with lightweight wheels and Brembo brakes, but its suspension tuning was the same as all other coupes. The Nissan 350Z has been succeeded by the 370Z since the 2009 model year.

This example was registered in the UK in December 2007, it has had four former keepers. The car is said to be a very clean car inside and out, with alloy wheels, and is presented in Pearlescent White with a Black Electric Hood. The automatic gearbox has a manual option, as well as both a sport and snow buttons. The car also has sat nav with a reversing camera and the seats are electric and heated. This car is great fun and puts a smile on your face when driving.

The car comes with its import certificate, old MOTs, a couple of old bills, and a Service Book with Japanese stamps. The vendor has owned this car for just over 6 months and is selling as he is building a new house.

1992 FERRARI 348TS - BARONS AUCTIONEERS Sandown Park Racecourse Portsmouth Rd, Esher KT10 9AJ Tuesday 30th April 2019

FEATURED AUCTION

1992 FERRARI 348TS
 Chassis No: ZFFKAE6B000093666
Estimate: £40000 -£50000

The Ferrari 348, badged 348 TB for the coupé (Transversale Berlinetta), 348 TS (Transversale Spider) and the 348 SP (Spider, or Convertible) versions, featured a naturally aspirated 3.4-litre version of the quad-cam, four-valve-per-cylinder V8 engine. As with its predecessors, the model number was derived from this configuration, with the first two digits being the displacement of the engine and the third being the number of cylinders. The engine, which had a power output of 310 PS (228 kW; 306 hp), was mounted longitudinally and coupled to a transverse manual gearbox, like the Mondial T with which the 348 shared many components. The "T" in the model name 348 TB and TS refers to the transverse position of the gearbox. Overall, 2,895 examples of the 348 TB and 4,230 of the 348 TS were produced. The 348's styling differed from previous models with straked side air intakes and rectangular taillights resembling the Testarossa, stylistic themes reminiscent of the F40, the world’s fastest production car at the time, and other prestigious Ferrari models of the past. The model was also the final design overseen by chief stylist Leonardo Fioravanti, known for such designs as the F40, Daytona, 512 Berlinetta Boxer, 288 GTO P5, P6 and others. The F355 that succeeded the 348 returned to the styling cues of the 328 with round tail lights and rounded side air scoops

This 348 TS is presented in Rosso red with contrasting Nero black full leather interior. The car is original throughout, and the leather is in immaculate condition. The vendor states that the car has good Ferrari service history, and comes with 2 sets of keys. The car is LHD and has only covered 25,000 miles from new. This car is a very nice example in excellent condition all round.

1979 AUSTIN MORRIS MINI 1100 SPECIAL CONVERTIBLE

This is a rare and interesting 1979 Mini 1100cc special convertible conversion, with a super low recorded mileage, and in very nice condition. The car is believed to be a Pan-Am conversion. It is described by the vendor as a super fun car, that has benefitted from extensive work having been carried out over the past few years to maintain the car in this high standard, including a new MOT and service, a new blue hood recently fitted, new sills fitted, plus what looks like a new or refurbed rear subframe, and some brake work carried out.
The last owner has had the car since 2014. The exterior paintwork is in very good condition with no signs of rust etc, the rear boot floor is in very good condition, as are the floor sections. This vehicle during its conversion process was extensively strengthened and is solid underneath. The vehicle has been restored in the past and is in its original colour. The Mini 1100cc Special came with special edition alloy wheels, 2 colour choices, upgraded bumpers, and there is also a hood cover with the car. Mini only made a limited amount of Mini convertibles towards the end of the run, and it is believed approximately only 300 were built. With these vehicles commanding prices well in excess of £10,000 and up, this 70s car should be a great value and fun motoring for this summer.
