Description
A very original rare Fiat with suicide doors; recent mechanical work to bring into good driving condition; four new Continental winter tyres; original coffee and cream colours to give that authentic Italian feel; UK registered
When did you last see one of these little beauties on the road in the UK? Probably never. Well, they are as rare as rocking horseshoes over here but were popular in Italy in their day.
Powered by a tough 1,100cc push-rod engine turning out 50bhp, the 103H Lusso could top 80mph and do it all day – as contemporary cars shown in the Mille Miglia. The engine also responded well to tuning and powered a number of special-bodied saloons, coupés and racing cars.
Our car is, however, standard but still an appealing prospect in its caffè e crema paintwork (which is believed to be original). The interior, too, is in lovely original condition and the whole car is very smart. It is thought that it spent most of its early life in Bologna but nothing is known of its history post-1992 until it turned up at a farm sale last year.
Since then the car has had some re-commissioning work including a new water pump, refurbished brakes, new exhaust back box and tailpipe, plus four new Continental winter tyres. It also has a set of tyre chains, which will come in handy if the new owner finds himself taking part in the Monte Carlo Retrospective (or stuck in the Brecon Beacons in January).
This Millecento has just been UK registered 808 XVH and is ready to go...and is accompanied by a NOVA certificate and a dating letter from the Auto Club D’Italia
This very smart little Fiat is an attractive alternative to the ubiquitous Morris Minor if you are looking for a practical family classic and could also make a great rally car or low-cost Mille Miglia entrant. Or all three.

Charming and regularly used example of this 60's six-cylinder British saloon; lovely blue leather interior; 4-speed with O/D; completed the Tour De Normandy in 2018
Declared manufactured in 1962, it looks like this tidy old P4 100 was imported into Britain in 1978 and has had six owners since then. Our vendor acquired the car in January 2012 and has enjoyed using the car during the summer months, doing a few weddings for friends and family in this time.
The car is finished in Old English White, Experian recording a colour change from grey to white in January of 2012. The interior has that wonderful ‘old car’ smell emanating from its beautifully patinated blue leather combined with the fine thin-rimmed steering wheel, wooden dash and ‘R’ monikered foot pedals.
The car shows 74, 830 miles and started first turn of the key at the time of our visit, the big old six pot humming away quietly. Transmission is through a four-speed manual gearbox with O/D.
The bodywork looks to be in sound order with some localised remediation carried out by our vendor during his tenure, including repairs to the inner rear wheel arches, fitment of a new brake servo, pads and master cylinder plus a pair of reconditioned front brake callipers and fuel pump too.
He has taken the car abroad to Northern France on a number of occasions without issue, the car recently completing the Tour Du Normandy in 2018 during which time it won a prize as well as attending the Retro Festival in Caen in 2017.
It is being sold with a workshop manual, V5C, a sheaf of bills and 10 old MOTs plus its recent MOT which runs until January 2021 showing only two minor advisories.

Minimalism in motor-cars these days is practically unknown, with both the so-called “MINI” and the Fiat 500 being grossly over-inflated pastiches of their former selves. If you want to get back to basics and cut out the unnecessary stuff, this Fiat 126-based Zero is the car for you.
One of a handful of prototypes built by Car Craft (prior to a run of as many as 21 ‘production’ kits), this Zero first saw the light of day in 1991 and featured in various magazines of the period. And if you don’t think much of the idea of a car powered by 650cc of throbbing twin-cylinder Fiat-power read the magazine articles on file for this little lot.
“..driving the thing really impresses”, “this little baby is no slouch”, “intoxicating” etc., etc. And those quotes were for this car with a standard 23bhp - 45bhp (and more) is easily attainable.
The people behind Car Craft were highly skilled and produced a well-built and very quirky little car. The magazine reports all praised the build quality as much as they underlined the sheer driving fun.
Our vendor would agree with them, having owned the car since 1999. It is only for sale now as he is moving house and – due to ‘downsizing’ has nowhere to keep it. (Not even an airing cupboard? He must have downsized a lot!)
As it has not had much use in recent years, the vendor handed the car over to his local garage who put it into running order and, he tells us, “it sounds fantastic now”. It will still need some attention to the brakes and there was no time to MOT it, but its all fairly basic stuff and not beyond the capabilities of the average home mechanic.
Offered for sale  - zero reserve, this Fiat-based device is an appealing bit of fun for someone who likes their motoring nice and simple.

Carroll Shelby could spot a winner when he saw one and the Mustang had been in production for less than a year when the man behind the AC Cobra put some extra pep into Ford’s sales-topping pony car and brought out the Shelby GT350
This 1968 Mustang had been brought up to Shelby GT350 specification with a 5.7 litre four-valve Cleveland V8 and C6 automatic gearbox capable of propelling the car from 0-60mph in 7 seconds and taking it (in a controlled environment) all the way up to 140mph.
The reconstruction work didn’t stop with the engine and box and this GT350 “tribute” has all the regular Shelby features: body panels, ‘ram-air’ fibreglass hood, 10-spoke Shelby wheels, Moto Lita Cobra slot steering wheel, Posi-traction differential, Shelby gauges, T-handle shifter, seatbelts, floor mats and a host of minor Shelby signature components. It even has the correct sequential tail-lights – which is pretty vorsprung durch technik for 1968 when you think about it.
BLZ 78 has loads of other upgrades, including the Holly 600 4-barrel carburettor, MSD electronic ignition and aluminium radiator. It also has a retro Mustang radio with MP3 memory stick connection, but to be honest, all the in-car entertainment you want is under the bonnet.
The vendor tells us that the car is a genuine rust-free Mustang in wonderful condition which he has owned for five years and says that it is reliable and fun to drive. The car is a recent UK import, is UK registered and has an MOT to May 2020. It certainly is a cracker in its Candy Apple red paintwork and the power-hood and the interior and engine bay are all similarly impressive – not concours but very, very clean.
This may not be a genuine Shelby but it looks like a Shelby, goes like a Shelby, and sounds like a Shelby. If you want the real thing you will have to look hard – they only made 404 convertibles in 1968 - and you also have to pay at least three times as much as the very reasonable quoted estimate.
