1999 AUDI CONVERTIBLE (B4) - BRIGHTWELLS AUCTIONS Leominster Auction Centre Easters Court, Leominster HR6 0DE Wednesday 4th September 2019

FEATURED AUCTION
BRIGHTWELLS AUCTIONS
Leominster Auction Centre
 Easters Court, Leominster HR6 0DE
Wednesday 4th September 2019

1999 AUDI CONVERTIBLE (B4)
Registration No: T351 AVJ
Chassis No: WAUZZZ8GZXK002241
Engine No: ABC255024
Colour: Yellow
Estimate: No Reserve

Smart, quality cabriolet built on the excellent Audi 80 platform, this B4 series rag-top boasts the range-topping 2.6-litre V6 petrol engine mated to five-speed manual transmission and is finished in eye catching yellow with half leather interior trim.
Purchased by our vendor in April 2017, the car has remained a Herefordshire car all its life, with just three owners to date. Supplied by South Hereford Audi in May 1999 it must surely be one of the last of this generation.
Featuring a fully functional electric mohair soft top and clear plastic rear screen, the car sits on a set of black wheels (although the vendor has the silver originals should these not be to your taste – come and speak to us) and has covered 129,475 miles, a modest annual average considering it is twenty years old.
Maintenance has been carried out by South Hereford Audi for most of its life, with some 14 of their stamps in the service book until July 2016, since when it has been looked after by Trumpet Garage and CE Smith independent garage, both local to us here.
The timing belt was replaced in February 2018 and the car comes with a current MOT running until October 2019 with no advisories recorded along with an array of invoices, owners pack, V5C and numerous old MOT certificates and tax discs.
These are quality cars and rare to see in yellow. Snap it up whilst they are still affordable - a proper Modern Classic

1977 AUDI 100

The Audi 100 was an executive car which was manufactured between 1968 and 1994 by Audi. The C2 and C3 models of the Audi 100 were sold in the United States as the Audi 5000 until 1988. In South Africa, the car was also sold as the Audi 500.

The restyled C2 Audi 100 was launched in 1976, with an in-line five-cylinder engine. It was initially a 100 PS engine offering "six-cylinder power and four-cylinder economy", and later upgraded to 136 PS. A five-door hatchback model, the 100 Avant, was launched in August 1977 as part of this generation. The mainstay of the range remained the four-door saloon model. A two-door saloon version was offered, from February 1977, but there was little demand for large two-door saloons and thus only a few of the two-door Audi 100 C2s were sold.

At the end of September 1977, the Audi 100 became the manufacturer's first model to reach a production level of 1,000,000 units. The millionth Audi 100 was a hatchback Audi 100 Avant assembled not at the company's main Ingolstadt plant but to the west, at the Neckarsulm factory which, since the demise of the mainstream volume models from the NSU range, had been concentrating on providing additional production capacity for the fast selling Audi range.
This model was the top of the range Audi in 1977, and was the first of the series. The vendor states that it is mint, as new condition. It has never been painted, and is totally original. The car has a genuine 35,000 miles on the clock and has only had only one owner.
